Hi! I’m Jonathan Dickey. I’m the Site Manager at Camp Kadesh.
Summer camps are something that I have been involved in since a very young age. Growing up I was at camp long before I was old enough to attend because my parents were avid volunteers. When I was of age I attended for many years before becoming staff. I worked at camp through to my college years. Because of this experience as well as having my own faith greatly developed at camp, I have long believed that camp is an amazing platform to change the lives of children and youth, and expose those who wouldn’t otherwise experience God to him and his word.
After I finished a two year diploma in heavy equipment repair, I applied for a job at Camp Kadesh to be an assistant to the site manager with a plan of finding another job in my field within a few years. God had other plans of course and within a short time I became the site manager and found my now wife Katie.
Katie and I live at Camp Kadesh. Katie commutes into Prince Albert for work where she is a dental assistant. We love living, working and of course playing at camp and in the beautiful nature that surrounds Camp Kadesh and Christopher Lake.
Katie and I are avid water sports enthusiasts and enjoy hunting, fishing and trips to the mountains to downhill ski and relax. I still enjoy using my diploma for small projects and fixing up my truck and motorcycle. I have recently joined a worship team at Prince Albert Alliance Church, and enjoy worshipping and serving in that capacity.
