Strike Camp will not be running for March 20th

We are aware of the province wide strike, but due to the warm weather last week, our winter programs are not ready to do safely.

Introducing a new program: Strike Camp

A series of winter day camps that will take place during each STF strike open to ages 8 - 14*.

Camp Kadesh supports teachers working towards better learning environments for students. The purpose of this one day camp is for students to have an opportunity to get outside to do some awesome activities in the meantime.

Price: $30 + tax.

*Some exceptions made be made such as older siblings coming with or bringing younger siblings.

Students will have the opportunity to:

  • build relationships with our staff and other students of a similar age

  • be challenged to learn new skills through fun activities

  • spend time outdoors while having a blast

Examples of some of the activities and skills are:

  • Ice Climbing

  • Broomball

  • Tube Slide

  • Snowshoeing

  • Craft (Inside)

What will each day look like?

Each day will have one indoor block and four outdoor blocks of activities, with a warm lunch provided. Campers will be expected to dress to be outside. There will be time to warm up in between activities. Please bring extra socks, mittens/gloves, any other clothing that might get wet that you will want to change out of throughout the day or before heading home.

If there are multiple strike days and we have returning students we will look to change up some actives, but we will repeat some of the winter favourites.

When Will one of these camps happen?

During each of the upcoming STF strikes. Registration for each one day camp will open as soon as the next strike day is announced and will close the night before the camp happens. (11:30 pm)

How many students will each day have?

There will be a maximum of 45 students for each day. This can be a one off or you can register for each camp as they open!

Can Parents and younger siblings stay around the camp?

Yes. Parents will be welcome to be around camp with younger siblings. There won’t be provision for including non-student participants in the activities, but all will be welcome to watch what is happening, enjoy a cup of hot coffee/tea, or just hang out and enjoy camp property outside or in our dining hall space. WiFi will also be available for parents that need to get some work done.

If you would like to have lunch with us, there will be a $5 add on option to your camper’s registration to add a parent (or additional, non program child) to lunch. Just add as many as you need extra lunches.
