A day camp opportunity on February Break in Saskatoon. Kadesh Day Camp is open to students in Grades 1-5 (ages 6 - 11) as an in-city opportunity for younger campers to get a taste of Kadesh before overnight summer camp.
What will each day look like?
Each day will run 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Days will have 4 activity blocks with a break for lunch (see below). To keep the price down Camp Kadesh will not provide a lunch, so bring a bag lunch to eat. During the lunch break the tuck shop will be open if campers wish to purchase some extra treats. We will provide a snack to campers in the afternoon.
LARGE GROUP ACTIVITIES
Campfire: Each day we will start the program off with an indoor “campfire” to welcome campers, give some announcements, and get silly with some classic Kadesh campfire songs.
Wide Game: We will engage in a large group game every day to help burn some energy and engage in a friendly competition.
Chapel: We will have chapel time each day to explore God’s character and love for us followed by a time of small groups to discuss what we’ve learned.
Free Time: Each day will have some free time to hang out and enjoy building relationships.
SMALL GROUP Activities
Crafts: Get ready to unleash your artistic side at the crafts corner! Campers will get to have creative fun, bringing ideas to life, and creating a new masterpiece everyday.
Games: Teamwork makes the dreamwork at this activity station. Campers will engage in fun, interactive games and challenges designed to build new skills!
Sports: Get your game face on at the sports zone! This activity station is all about active fun, where campers can enjoy classic sports and develop new friendships.
Imagination Station: This is where creativity knows no bounds and imagination comes to life! Campers can explore a variety of fun activities, discover new things and come up with new ideas.
Small group time: This is a time following chapel where campers are split into smaller groups by age, paired with a leader, and have time for life and teaching discussion.
Where will Day Camp take place?
Kadesh Day Camp will happen at Lakeview Church in Saskatoon (19 Glazier Road).
DAY CAMP LEADERS
We will have quality staff who have experience leading at Camp Kadesh in various roles such as cabin leaders who are also engaged at Lakeview church or other youth ministry programs. These staff are qualified with Safe Place Policy instruction, training, and experience. Each camper will be placed in a small group of approximately 8 kids with at least one leader overseeing that group at all times throughout the day.
