PROGRAM COORDINATORS - 4 MONTH POSITION / May - August (2 positions - FILLED)
The Program Coordinators maintain and organize all spring and summer camp activities, games, and schedules. They train, schedule, and direct staff in running skills, participating in programming, providing adequate supervision, and helping maintain equipment. this position will require paid prep in early May and can include some work on weekends in the event of last minute changes to staffing, etc. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age and have at least one year of work experience at Camp Kadesh. LEADER IN TRAINING (LIT) PROGRAM COORDINATORS (2 positions - FILLED)
TWO OPTIONS: 4MONTH POSITION / May - August or 2 MONTH POSITION / July - August (with some paid prep work that can be done off-site in May & June).
The LIT Coordinators provide leadership for the Leader in Training program. The program focuses on discipleship, community building, and leadership development through service and learning. LIT Coordinators are responsible for communication with applicants and their parents//caregivers, training & overseeing the LITS in their service tasks (the set up, serving, and clean up of each meal and the cleaning of other areas of the camp), coordinating and facilitating discipleship and leadership development sessions, and overseeing their observation of cabin-leading. WATERFRONT COORDINATOR** 2 MONTH POSITION / July - August (1 position - FILLED)
The Waterfront Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing waterfront safety and staff. They will be responsible for working with the Program Coordinators for scheduling lifeguards on skill activities and for supervision. Partnering with the Water Sports Coordinator, they will be responsible for training the other waterfront staff, daily set up and clean up of the waterfront area, maintenance of water sports and boat equipment, and overseeing all waterfront safety protocols and incident reports. FIRST AID RESPONDER** 2 MONTH POSITION / July - August (1 position - FILLED)
The First Aid Responder is the primary response to all land based emergencies and medical needs. They will oversee the collection and administration of all prescription and over the counter medication, provide general medical care throughout the week, contact parents/caregivers about camper medical issues, and provide incident reports when necessary. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and be certified in First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain). CAMPER SUPPORT COORDINATOR** 2 MONTH POSITION / July - August (1 position - FILLED)
The Camper Support Coordinator provides supports to campers who may have non-medical needs such as mental health or behavioural needs, homesickness, cultural integration, gender or sexual diversity. Collaborating with the parents/caregivers, camper, and cabin leaders, they develop and help implement s support plan for the greatest possibility of a successful week at camp. They will be the first point of contact if a camper needs to call home. Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and be certified in First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain). Preference is given to those who have experience in providing similar care or are in a related field of study (such as youth care worker, social work, or education). The Multimedia Coordinators are responsible for telling the story of camp by capturing and crafting the media that each camper will be able to take home each week, supporting our program with media elements for games and chapel times, and creating content for online posting and the year round promotion of Camp Kadesh. WATER SPORTS COORDINATOR** 2 MONTH POSITION / July - August (1 position available)
The Water Sports Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the staff and maintenance in our water sports programming and be the main boat driver. They will be responsible for working with the Waterfront Coordinator for training waterfront staff, scheduling staff on waterfront skill activities, daily set up and clean up of the waterfront area, maintenance of water sports and boat equipment, and overseeing appropriate waterfront safety protocols and incident reports. Must be a minimum of 18 year of age, hold a valid Pleasure Craft Operators license, and boat driving experience. Training for Camp Kadesh boat driving policies will be provided.
